TVR Insurance was inspired by a group of young and enthusiastic motor insurance intermediaries, who found themselves specialising in the performance car market. Through their own motoring exploits, it soon became obvious that a need for a specialised product existed and should be provided for. So, with the results of an owners survey in hand, they set about designing an insurance product that provides all that is expected of a conventional quality contract, but with the addition of a few aspects normally associated with expensive, exclusive contracts pro-vided by obscure or unknown insurers.

With nearly 60 years combined experience in the industry, it was obvious that only a major name in British insurance would fit the bill. So Norwich Union were offered the challenge to meet this formidable criteria. As you would expect from one of the country’s leading insurers, they not only met the challenge, but excelled with the launch of this, the first and foremost TVR insurance product.
